What it checks
119 criteria: 107 from PDF/UA-1 (ISO 14289-1), run through veraPDF, and 12 from the parts of WCAG 2.2 AA that apply to PDFs. Tags, reading order, headings, tables, lists, links, fonts, the document title and its language are all covered.
What you see
How many checks the document fails and in how many places, and of those, how many Normfluss can fix automatically, how many need a person and how many are best fixed in the program that made the PDF. The full report lists every failed check with its rule and the pages it fails on.
What no checker can tell you
Whether alternative text describes its image well, or whether a heading says what its section is about, takes a person. The check marks those for review; it does not pass them for you.
